i have intermitent pain when i walk in hip buttock and leg
i had epidural then facet joint injections and recently had denervation injections in sacro illiac joints. which do not seem to help ,i still dont know what i.m being treated for has anyone have anyone got any idea

Answer
Dear Cheryl,

I don't have enough information to answer your question.

Hip and leg pain can arise from several causes:  muscle spasm, nerve impingement, and joint degeneration or irritation.

SI joint pain almost always involves muscular contractions in the low back and buttocks, often with alterations of foot contact with the ground.

Denervation injections should be used only as a desperate, last resort.

As your doctor for an explanation (although, from the variety of treatments, it sounds like your doctor is unsure of the origin of your pain).

If you were my client, I would be examining you for muscular contractions in the low back and hip regions and seeking information on your history of injuries.

For more information, you may read my articles on injuries at somatics.com/page4b.htm.

with regard,
Lawrence Gold
