Question
Hi, I read the note about shingles.
1. Is there any way to avoid or help avoid getting shingles?
2. What are some anti inflammatory foods or herbs that you might suggest?
Thank you.

Answer
Hi Shirley,

I had Shingles several times before i learned about Lysine which is a natural anti-herpes supplement.  I took it religiously for 90 days and the virus seems to have settles down and become latent.  I did have one flare up about 5 years later which taught me not o go years without taking any Lysine so now anytime I feel even a tingle in the area i take it for a week or so.

As for foods, Cherries are in season now and are excellent anti-inflammatory.

I hope this helps.

All my best,
Margot
