Question
what are my options to straighten out my posture? Is there any way either through a brace or another alternative to take care of this?

Answer
Ralph,

Thanks for your question and I hope that I can help.

First of all it really depends on how bad your posture is and what is causing it to be bad.  If it is a structural skeletal problem, it can be helped in one of several ways, but it is more difficult to deal with.

If it is simply due to poor posture habits, changing those habits and performing strengthening exercises will do the trick.

I recommend seeing a chiropractor to find out which of the problems is yours. Then you can take the right measures to obtain the posture you want and need.  Poor posture leads to big problems in older age.

I do not like to use a brace unless you have a severe scoliosis.  The reason being that use of the brace will result in further weakening of the already weak back muscles.

God Bless,

Dr. Boss
