Question
I had surgery to fuse the area of L5-S1 on my spine three weeks ago.  How long do I have to wait before I can receive a chiropractic adjustment again???  What areas can be adjusted on my back and neck???  Are there any areas of my spine or neck that can't be adjusted due to the surgery???  Is there a specific way that the area that I had surgery on has to be adjusted like activator or can it be done manually with hands???

Answer
That's a great question. You could get adjusted (but not in your lumbar spine) you can see your chiropractor for neck , upper thoracic adjustments.
I would ask your surgeon how long until it completely heals. Another option; see a chiropractor with cold laser. Cold laser will reduce inflammation, break up scar tissue, and heal and repair soft tissue in the lumbar spine. I highly recommend about 10-15 consecutive laser treatments. Then you can have your lumbar spine gently adjusted with activator, Thompson technique.
Feel free to look at what cold laser does on my website;
