Question
How can acupuncture help in case of osteoarthritis on the knee?

Answer
Dear S. Balev,

Thank you for your question.

Acupuncture works great with the knees, in fact, I have probably seen the best and fastest results treating knees over all other problems.  The pain related to OA is from inflammation, stiffness and joint changes. Acupuncture results in an increase in circulation which will  help reduce inflammation and increase stiffness and help to decrease the speed of joint changes.  Additionally, acupuncture decreases pain.

The end result is less pain and increased mobility which leads to a happier patient.

I recommend you find a good acupuncturist, or chiropractor who performs it and have an evaluation.  You will be happy you did.

God Bless,

Dr. Boss
