Question
Hi again. I started to play lacrosse again. I know you use your wrist. But is there anyway to damage your wrist while playing lacrosse? Because you rotate it back and forth?

Answer
Hi Jase,

Anytime you use a joint repetitively or use it hard enough to tear fibers you can have injury.  If people can get disabled using a mouse and keyboard (and they do!), you can certainly get hurt in a pretty rowdy sport like lacrosse.

The best advice is to warm up, stretch regularly and condition for the activity.

Do well, Dr Pendergraft
