Question
hello, I would like to ask about a wrist pain that I have
been having for a week now. it started when I woke up one
morning but it never disappeared any more. Though the pain
lessens during the day, it hurts when my wrist is in its
maximum range of motion and sometimes there is a clicking
sound beneath the thumb area when I rotate it. What does
this mean? and what can I do to fix it?

Answer
You give me no history on how you may have injured it????
Do you work with your hands? Did you have an accident ???
You say it's numb, where is it numb ? When is it numb???
I couldn't possibly help you with such a lack of history and info.
It could be many things, I'm a doctor not god.
Try this test put your hands together instead of in the prayer position put them opposite. where your back of your hands are touching eachother and your fingers are pointing straight down. Hold that position (phalens test) for a minute if it hurts you and you have increased pain or numbness in the wrist you most likely have Carpal tunn syndrome. If your hand pain(or wrist ) increases at night it is most likely carpal tunnel.
But with the lack of info and history I couldn't possibly help you.
