Question
I've had 3 spinal adjustment treatments so far, starting 10 days ago. Neck adjustments, upper back and hip area. I noticed that my right hand and right foot feel tingling sometimes. It's not constant, it goes in and out. Is this something I should worry about? My chiropractor suggested I get inserts for my shoes because of my arches and I noticed the tingling in my foot after I started wearing the inserts. I woke up in the middle of the night because my hand felt like it was asleep. That was the first time that's happened but I feel the tingling more often. When I told my chiropractor about it he said it could just be my nervous system resetting itself from the treatments. What dou think? Should I worry about it?

Answer
Hi Alicia,

There can certainly be brief adaptation symptoms.  Generally, those should not last long.  The insert can take a while to get used to.  The hand trouble should not be related to the foot problem.

You should not have to worry.  Keep addressing the doc directly about these concerns.  Hopefully, you trust your doc.  If you doubt his responses, ask another chiropractic doctor to take a look at you.

The site noted below can help you find local docs.

Hope this helps.
