Question
Hello, my name is Joe Norton and I have been through a small journey as far as doctor's and no solutions.  Well, let me tell you what's going on with my body.  My MRI reports show that i have bulging discs in L3-L4, L4-L5, and L5-S1 if i remember correctly.  In the L4-L5 disc I have a moderate disc bulge and the other two i have mild disc bulges, that is what the MRI literature from the radiologist is telling me.  I also have spinal stenosis and degenative disc disease, here is the kicker, I'm 26 and feeling like i'm 50 already.  I have had leg pain going through my right butt cheek and through my hamstring.  This has been continuous since February.  Now for the past 2 weeks i have had neck pain on my left side. I have been to MD's who cannot help me except with a epidural which will not fix the problem, only mask it.  I have been to orthopedic doctor's and surgery, live with it, or epidurals were the only option, they do not want to do surgery since i'm so young and so I don't want to either.  I have right leg pain all the time, sitting in my couches makes it worse(I've stopped it now), I have a desk job and my chair is ok but I still have neck and lower back pain, but I am miserable from what this is doing to me.

I have been to a chiropractor before in the past but only a couple of times since February, he has performed an adjustment on me both times and i felt better for that day. Another chiropractor has told me that when a Dr. adjusts me IT WILL ONLY AFFECT MY SPINAL COLUMN, IT WILL NOT HELP MY DISCS OUT, so an adjustment will not be beneficial for fixing my discs, just temporary relief from pain, this chiropractor is telling me that's why chiro's got a bad rap back in the day b/c they had to go for 20 years.  Now to fix my discs i have just started IDD therapy(http://www.iddtherapy.com/), it is a machine that pulls you gently to open your disc space up so your body can heal itself, please check the website out if you have not heard of this.  Only 4 chiro's are using them in the KC metro area and a MD doctor who I am currently going to.  I am on the machine for 25m every day for approx 4-6 weeks.  I have not felt better yet but it's only been 4 treatments so far.  Anyways, any insight or new information that i may not be aware of, please inform me, or an opinion you have on what is going wrong with me, or if you have fixed these problems in the past what have you done.  I have checked out the SORSI website and their are chiro's in the area i live but $ is a little issue right now, I need help.  Thank you for ready my life right now b/c I am miserable since i can not be active and b/c i'm in pain.

Thanks for writing!

Your solution lies in getting your liver back in shape. The liver fortifies the ligaments of the body, according to Chinese medicine. And the disk fall under the ligament category.

The traction you are getting might help but it would be temporary.

To shape up your liver, drink 100 oz. of filtered or spring water each day, not tap water. Drink a full glass of water each time you get up to go to the bathroom at night.

Take Vit. C 4 to 6 thousand milligrams. The most active is a powdered Vit C mixed with baking soda.

Get a good liver cleanse. Most of them contain milk thistle and some sort of radish or beet,do not buy a cheap one, look for the most expensive.

Are you on prescriptions? A lot of them, the cholesterol drugs in particular, kill the liver.

A good SOT doctor listed on the SORSI website would help you. The cost is very small, compared to your condition. Call one or two of them and see if they will work with you on finances.

Let me know how it goes.
