Question
I am interested in knowing more about Percutaneous Nucleotomy. My dad
might have to do this operation and I would like to ask the following
questions:

1- What does this operation seek to correct?
2- How does the operation work? (i.e. the method)
3- What's the success rate?
4- What kind of patient is idea for this procedure?
5- Any watch-its? E.g. would you not recommend this procedure for certain
types of back problems?

Any help would be most appreciated from a fellow expert!

Regards,

Mohamad

Answer
I was unsure of this procedure, so I searched it on google, I suggest you do the same.  To me it sounds like an orthoscopic type procedure to correct disc herniation.  Do a little research for yourself and if you have any other more specific questions, please email me.  You could also ask the doctor that suggested the operation for your dad.  Good Luck.
