Answer
Without a proper exam it is difficult to give you an exact answer, but you could have a couple of things that are causing the symptoms.  One is misalignment in the neck, you said you were in a car accident and your neck has been bothering you.  I treat cases like this weekly if not more, the bones in your neck can misalign causing nerve irritation and muscle spasms which in turn cause the symptoms you are experiencing.  Also occurring from the accident could be a should or elbow injury.  It could be slight and you might not have noticed any pain or irritation, but the injury only has to be slight to cause nerve irritation.  My strongest suggestion is to seek a chiropractic evaluation and treatment.  I am a member of a group of chiropractors that utilize a low force technique to help correct such problems as you are experiencing.  If you are interested, go to www.sorsi.com to locate a doctor near you.  I am in St. Paul, Minnesota and would be more than happy to see you in my office.  If you have any other questions or concerns or need help locating a doctor, email me.
