can you read my MRI?

Question
hi, I was injured in the military (thrown from the turret of a humvee) I am out of the military now but not getting much help from the military dr's. They say my disks are bulging, how serious is that? I can not walk at times when my back is aggrivated, it hurts constantly, and my feet get numb when I lie down. Just looking for some answers if you have time I can email you the files from my MRI, thank you for your time.

John

Answer
John,

It's pretty straight-forward.  Your fall sent your neck and back muscles into spasm (fixated contraction) and that pulls the vertebrae together, squeezing the discs, which bulge.

If your feet get numb, nerve roots are being squeezed.

You need to undergo a process of movement training to free those muscles.  Please see the article on whiplash injuries at somatics.com/page4.htm, as the situation is related.
