x-ray results that I dont understand how to read

Question
I had upper back and arm pain for a few months. My x-ray results stated that There is a straightening and mild reversal of the cervical lordosis in the lateral projection. Otherwise the cervical vertebrae, disc spaces and articular facets outline normally. There is no fracture, dislocation or other osseous abnormality. The disc spaces are intact. This is what the x-ray report states and I have no clue as to what this means. I was not in a car accident, but I do work out pretty regularly. Can you please give me a lay-mans explanation of what this means and what should I do from here.

Answer
The x-rays simply state there is nothing wrong except that your neck is straight instead of curved.  There are some exercises that you can do specifically for this, but it is difficult to explain in words, it is easier to show.  My suggestion is to go to a chiropractor.  The only thing a medical doctor is going to do is give you anti-inflammatories and/or pain meds and send you home.  A chiropractor will work with you on fixing the problem and show you how to prevent future re-aggravations.  If you would like some help locating a good chiropractor, email me.
