Question
Hi,

I am 21 years old male and a couple of years ago my physician informed me that it was my sacroiliac joint that was given me the pain in my back. Soon after i stopped training for different reasons. I am after starting training back up again and my hip and lower back region is really starting to hurt me during and after exercise. The pain shoots down my legs sometimes. Does this sound like a sacroiliac joint injury and how is it fixed?

thanks

Joe

Answer
There could be many issues related to the sacroiliac (SI) joint, including muscle and ligaments.  I treat SI joint issues daily and yes it can be treated.  Chiropractic is my best answer.  I am a member of a group of chiropractors located all over the US that specialize in SI joint injuries.  If you are interested go to www.sorsi.com to see what we do and to locate a doctor near you.  I am in St. Paul, Minnesota and would be happy to see you.  If you have any other questions or concerns please email me.
