Question
Hello,
I was trying to find some info online about some issues my mothers having, she has seen a few doctors, she's had an MRI, but nothing diagnosed as of yet. From what she is telling me she is having a tingly sensation in her upper back area, she says it feels internal, doesnt feel muscle related. Her face on the left side is numb and has a constant soreness in her throat, says the throat is very dry. I have not been able to find anything online connecting these issues...is there anythign you can think of?

Answer
Although I am not a medical doctor and can't diagnose any medical problem, I can say that the symptoms sound like there is some nerve involvement.  The numbness on the face and the tingly sensation in the back are indicators for some nerve being pinched in some manner.  The sore, dry throat symptoms could also be related to nerves in that area of the spine.

I recommend that your mother speak to her physician about getting a referral to see a neurologist.  She might also consider visiting a chiropractor or osteopath.

Thank you for your question, Wanda.  I hope that my answer was helpful.
