Question
I have osteo-arthritis that affects my hips primarily. I've
been taking Glucossamine/Chondroitin Sulfate.....500mg
and  400mg. After more than a year of taking 3 pills daily, I
notice no effect one way or the other.

My Dr. is indifferent about my taking it......and I'm
considering stopping. Bextra and Tylenol seem to help with
the pain.

Is there any reason to consider continuiing to take it?

Thanks.

Paul

Answer
Paul,

It you do not see any difference then there is no reason to take it. Only about half the people with osteoarthritis see a measurable difference when taking glucosamine and Chondrointin. You might want to research Cetyl Myristoleate and SAM-E. Many people with osteoarthritis get a lot of relief from these supplements.

I wish you good health

Rusty
