Question
I am 59 yr. old and have trouble with my finger joints, they are painfull I beleive I have arthritis in them, they hurt more when I use them,  my knees hurt also. What can I take for this problem ?

Answer
Bob,

There are three supplements that have been shown to help control the inflammation associated with mild arthritis.

Omega 3 fatty acids. Most omega 3 supplements are made with fish oil. You need to make sure if you use these to make sure that they are purified. There is a lot of mercury and lead showing up in saltwater fish, it is best if this is removed. There are also some omega 3 supplements made from vegetable sources such as flax seed.

Tumeric. This is s supplement that is made from the spice curry.

Cetyl Myristoleate. This supplement is harder to find. I take this one my self.

You need to make sure that you keep moving these joints. While is hurts to move them, in the long run it will hurt much worse if you don't.
