Question
is there a diet or certain foods to avoid or certain foods to eat. thanks!

Answer
Sharon,

There is much debate about whether or not a specific diet will help fibromyalgia. Most diets recommended for fibromyalgia suggest limiting chocolate, caffeine and alcohol.

I always recommend that a person keep a diet journal. Every day write down what you eat and whether it was a good day or not. Most of the time over a few weeks a pattern will develop. Take notice of the foods you eat on a bad day. If you notice a pattern of certain types of food a bad days eliminate them from your diet and see if it makes a difference.
