Question
Hello

MY mother suffers from severe Rheuma Arthritis to the point she gets angry and vents out with me. MY Question is are there any over the counter medicines or natural herbs that can help her. I'm working on getting her some medical insurance. Please respond thank you

Answer
Ossy,

Sorry to hear about your mom. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease where your body's immune system is attacking it's joints. There is not much you can do to treat the actual disease with over the counter medications or supplements that can do much.

For the pain, ibuprofen is probably the best since it is an anti-inflammatory medication.

There are two supplements that can help. Omega 3 fatty acid supplements and cetyl myristoleate. For most people I find cetyl myristoleate proveds the best results and it is the one I use myself. I buy mine at vitacost.com because that is where I have found the best price. Here are links that talk about these two types of supplements.
