Swollen Hands and Feet

Question
My left hand started swelling with pain 13 months ago. Three months later the right one did the same.  Now my feet are doing the same thing.  I've seen two Rheumatologist and two Neurologist for this.  At first they thought it was Ankylosing Spondylitis since all the lab works pointed to that but then the MRIs of the hand and body did not show inflammation even thought the doctors can see the severe swelling.  I went then had Never Conduction tests on my hands and feet which show nerve damage due to the swelling which they say is due to some autoimmune disorder but they don抰 know which one.  They recommend surgery for the carpal tunnel S which is caused by the swelling in the hands and a brace on the foot along with elevating the feet.  I do not know where to go now since they seem to think it is an Auto Immune problem but they don抰 know which one or what would be the best way to treat it.  Please let me know what you think and what I sho8ld do.  Thanks,

Answer
I am sorry but the best I have to offer is to suggest that you ask the Rheumatologist if there are any other test they can run to try and give an exact diagnosis. Autoimmune diseases can be very hard to diagnose. I wish I could offer more but I am not smarter than these 4 doctors and do not have as much information about you as they do.
