Question
for years since my teens ( i am now 30 yrs ),my hip has clicked when i walked it still does this now and then, when i was about 19 i developed a strange brown patching of my hip which spread ,now over the last year my hip muscle has dropped and no longer have any muscle to protect my hip joint , my gp just looked at it strangley and was none the wiser , i have recently had a bone scan which was negative . i am really at alose as to what is wrong can you help ?

I wish I could give you an answer, but I am not a doctor.  Personally, I don't know if a GP is the one you should see.  If I were you, since you do hear clicking, you should see an orthopedist.  I have never heard of skin discoloration due to a bone problem, but if there is muscle atrophy, you do need to see a specialist.
