Question
I'm having trouble understanding my mri report - could you please explain in English?
I have an irregularity of the cartilidge of the medial patellar facet.  Also small defects posterior femoval condyle bilaterally with minor associated subchondral changes.  Mild subchondral patellar changes.

I have been paving posterior and medial knee pain since an accident.  Any answers would be very welcome as I won't be seeing the doctor until next week.

Answer
Dear Mary

This Orthopedic Chicago Podiatrist located in West Loop 60661,Roscoe Village 60618, Ukrainian Village 60622, Elmhurst 60126 & Bartlett 60103 says...

For your knee pain. The MRI indicates possible arthritic changes, but may also be signs of normal aging. The cartilage is the gliding surface in a joint. The medial patellar facet is the joint  behind the kneecap and the femur (thigh bone) closest to your other knee.
When you see your doctor and he/she can re-examine you with the MRI findings in front of them, the doctor will be able to be more precise in answering your questions.
Hope this helps & Good Luck!
