Answer
Dear Jayakumar,
This Chicago Podiatrist, Elmhurst Podiatrist & West Loop Podiatrist says.......
For your suspected arthritis.....
There was some form of inflammation when the labs were drawn. Cannot tell without additional information/labs & an in person exam. The inflammation could have been related to anything---Cough, cold, etc.
Everyone gets arthritis as they age---It's the natural process of aging(wear & tear).
Negative CRP is good-but you may still have inflammatory arthritis. CRP is not specific for rheumatoid arthritis. There are other labs that are more specific-but may be more expensive & not recommended by your doctor for your symptoms.
Sorry-not enough info.
Good Luck!
