Question
Hi Dr. Tsatsos,

I was working in a corporate office for 7.5 yrs. Was suffering from lumbar spondylitis, got wellwith a few exercises recommended by the doctor.

I gave birth to a baby girl an year ago. Now the back pain increased a lot, particularly more around the area where epidural anaesthesia was given. I have this back pain every alternate day. Very pain.

Please suggest what to do.

Answer
Dear Priyanka,

This Orthopedic Chicago Podiatrist located in West Loop 60661, Roscoe Village 60618, Ukrainian Village 60622, Elmhurst 60126 & Bartlett 60103 says,
If you are overweight, start with losing weight by diet & restart your exercise program.
Also do stomach exercises. It may be osteoarthritis, which responds best to exercise & stretching. Perhaps pool exercises-gentler activities-like walking through the water, to restart your exercise program.
Exercise & stretching is necessary for body as we age. Best cure so far.
Hope this helps &
Good Luck!
