What comes after a c2 fracture

Question
My husband had a nondisplaced c2 fracture seven years ago.  And now he his suffering from back pain.  Is there anyway it's related.  I was also curious this was a workman's comp case and he hasn't been treated since his halo came off 04/99 so the insurance company told me if it was related it would be hard to prove.  Do you have recommendations of a certain type of doctor he should see semi-regularly in case different medical problems appear in the future. Or what we should expect in the future?  Thank you very much for your time.

Answer
Hi Summer,
Thanks so much for your questions.

Anytime you have a trauma along the spine, there is a chance it could be related to a problem which developes later on down the road.

As far as the workman's comp/insurance aspect, you would need to talk to someone that specilizes in that area. You can try asking one the volunteer lawyers here at AllExperts. If you can't find their category, use the "search" at the top of the page.

I would suggest that you and your husband find a neurologist. He would best be able to determin if the 2 are related.

I hope this helps and if you have any more questions, please feel free to ask me anytime.

Thanks again,
John McKinzie
