Neck and leg pain

Question
This for my mother. She is 62 years old. Occasionally, she gets a pain in the back of her neck which radiates to her shoulder. When this happens, she feels pain on her legs and has difficulty walking. Also, she says that she loses balance when this pain occurs. Within a short while, she gets big burps too.

If she rests for a while (~ 30 mins) with her back supported, then she feels better.

Can you pl let us know what may be causing this problem and how to deal with this?

Thanks,
Anand

Answer
I suggest getting a proper exam in person.  I can only guess without an exam.  There could be some vertebral subluxations that are causing the issues.  That is chiropractic terminology for a bone that is "out of place".  When a bone is "out of place" it interferes with the proper function of that joint, which could be movement (pain in the neck to shoulder) or neurologic (the nerves that exit the spine to the organs).  I suggest chiropractic because it is effective treatment without the use of harmful drugs or surgery.  I suggest a specific chiropractic group because I am a member and know they think like I do and we treat everything from head to toe.  If your mother is interested and want to find a doctor in your area, go to www.sorsi.com.  If you have any other questions or concerns, please email me.
