Question
Hello Margot,

I read a message of yours urging that there is no better chronic pain treatment than a nerve block.  I am going in for my first nerve block for RSD of the lower extemeties next week.  Have you had this treatment yourself?  Have you ever met someone who has had these treatments alone help their rsd?  I have read many things online that indicate the blocks do not help the pain of rsd alone.  The pain comes back, and they must go through months or years of physical therapy, drug treatment, phsycological treatment, before it finally goes into remission.  Have you any experience in this field?

Thank you very much,
Katy Doody

Answer
Hi Katy and thanks for writing,

I have never had a Nerve Block personally, but I have known a lot of people who've had them and have had their chronic pain relieved by them.

I do not know anyone who used them for RSD so I did a little reasearch and did find testimonials from people with RSD who swear they work, but not always for long periods.

I'm sorry I can't be more help to you and I wish you all the best.

Margot
