Hi -- I've had migraine headaches for years; last year they became quite frequent and severe.  I have been seeing a chiropractor 3x a week for about 6 months.  I had severe subluxations in my mid-back (T5,6,7) and neck (C1, C3).  The adjustments are holding much better, for longer, nowadays.  When I don't have a migraine I feel really great.  Problem is, the migraines continue just as bad as they were when I started.  I don't know if I should continue to go the the chiropractor this frequently since it is not affecting the migraines.  I don't want to give up, though, if I am on the verge of a breakthrough.  Any insight would help.  Thank yoU!

there is a great deal of difference in chiropractic techniques. this is quite possibly why your headaches have not resolved. it is rare that a patient of mine doesn't get over their migraines. i recommend you seek out an HIO METHOD chiropractor.

Answer
it is the precise upper cervical corrective method developed by dr. b.j. palmer, the son of chiropractic's discoverer. it makes use of x-rays, side-posture adjusting, and muscle testing or instumentation such as a neurocalograph to determine presence and pattern of nerve interference. it is practiced by a small percentage of chiropractors.
