Question
A year and a half ago I went to a Maximize Living Chiropractor and he did a chest xray. When I followed up on the consultation he told me I had some white areas on my lungs. At first he mentioned cancer and said we needed to get aggressive on the treatment which cost me over $3000.00. Well when I went home, and that night it hit me fully what he said I about freaked out. When I confronted him that he has about freaked me out then he tells me oh no I don't think it is cancer I think it is histoplasmosis. I just got over bronchitis when I started going to him so could it of been that showing up on my lungs? I went to him for awhile but I didn't like how a person was herded through like a herd of cattle and there was even a sign up that said don't ask dr questions it will slow him down. If you want to ask a question, write it down and drop it in the box. I asked for my money back which he did partally refund me for treatments not used. My question is can a chiropractor dignoise cancer on a xray ? Plus I don't know why he would of mentioned cancer then changed to histoplasmosis.

Answer
Mae,

You need to write a complaint to your state's licensing board.   You need to copy/past your question on a letter to the board and let them do their job.    Every state licenses chiropractors and some do it under the umbrella of the board of registration for all of medical practices and some have a separate chiropractic board of registration.  Simply look it up on line or call your state's main office and ask.    I've addressed the topic before and quite simply everyone should stay far away from these charlatans.   They will not go away until the public - you - voice your complaint to the organization that polices medical practices:  State Board.    Please do this.
