Question
can chiropractic help with spondylolisthesis and how?

Answer
Regina,

Thanks for your question.  I am sorry for the delay in answering, but my family was gone for the holiday.

Yes, chiropractic can help relieve pain associated with spondylo.  Most of the pain associated with spondylo patients is in the sacroiliac joints.  This is because the mechanics of the lumbar spine are changed due to the spondylo, causing increased weight bearing and stress on the sacroiliac joints.  This will tend to cause fixation and misalignment with the SI joints.

Chiropractic manipulation improves the mechanics and removes fixations allowing better movement and weight bearing of the joints.  You will always have the spondylo, but you don't have to have the problems associated with them.

Good luck,

Dr. Boss
