Question
I fell back on my left foot and twisted to the left with my weight on my left when I went down.I had therapy and back x- rays. Then I was sent to an orthopedic surgeon. Then he had his Therapist work on me.Therapist held up 2 fingers showing me my S I joint was out of line. She had me lay on my stomach and pushed down with both hands real hard.I continued Therapy and the doctor gave me an injection in the S I  joint. Then gave me  MRI .Doctor said MRI show no injury. I also have 2 hernias in my lower stomach.I have been off work 9 months.I still have severe pain when I bend over. And when I reach above my head. And anytime i put strain on my S I joint I have severe pain.Could you help me with what is causing all my pain THANK YOU

Answer
a physical therapist should never realign your SI joint, never!! they are not licensed to do that procedure. chiropractors and orthopedists are the only practitioners with the skill set to do this procedure. please consult with a licensed chiropractor and bring your x rays wityh you on your first visit. it will take 6-10 weeks to alleviate the pain. follow his/ her directions and you should be fine. especially if your mri came back negative. i wouldn't go back to the same place you've been treated at for the last 9 months. keep me posted on how your doing.
