Question about c2 alignment
9/26 9:01:08

Question
My C2 vertebrae is very, very far to the left. So far in fact, that my chiropractor has said in confidence that it is the farthest to the left that he has ever seen.

My main question to you is, how much impact can chiropractic have on the c2? And secondly, can the c2 alignment have a big influence on the way a shoulder behaves?

Perhaps my questions are too specific to my case, but basically I would like to know if you have ever seen this type of thing and what you think about it. I know I will never be perfect, but I feel like I will have to visit a chiropractor every 2 weeks for the rest of my life.

Thanks,
Mandy

Answer
Hello Mandy,

Adjusting the C2 vertebrea affects the C2 nerve and possibly the spinal cord at that level.  As far as the shoulder it depends what exactly is going on.  You may simply have a muscle strain.  An exam and diagnosis should be done by your current doctor and thorough discussion to explain what is going on.  You should not have to go for the rest of your life.  After treatment and strengthening of the cervical spinal musculature, this may resolve your condition.... This however depends on the degree of injury, severe accidents may cause permanent damage ie auto collsions, falls, etc.

Have a great New Years!
