Tingling on the right side

Question
Hello, for about 2 months now, I've been experiencing tingling from the top of my head through my foot on the right side only.  My right forearm feels tight, too. My right leg and buttock were tight, but I don't experience that any more. I've been seeing a chiro for just over one week, and my Dr. wants me to see a neurologist.  The more fatigued I am, the more trouble I have keeping my balance, as the sensation in my right side feels like my body "fell asleep."  I think I twitched a muscle or something in my neck, one of those "jerking movements," but I can't be 100% certain.  The chiropractor said it could take a month or more of treatment, my Dr. wouldn't give me a referral, and I don't know what to suspect as the cause of my situation, i.e., do I possibly have some kind of brain or spinal tumor?  The Dr hasn't told me what she suspects.

Answer
Hello Cathy,

I would follow your doctors advice and see a nuerologist most likely they will want you to have a MRI of the head and neck.  This will give you a exact picture showing the cause of your symptoms.  Most likely your Dr. does not want to say what they suspect because they truly do not know what it could be!

Let me know how everything turns out,
Dr. Brendon O'Brien D.C.
