Question
I am seeing a chiropractor for uneven leg lengths related to scoliosis. today we discovered that my left hip was "out". it pops when i rotate it. he pulled on my leg and it thunked at the hip. he said "there we go". i assume he thought he fixed it. now that i am home it is still clicking when i rotate it. whats the deal?

Answer
What's the deal? I'm not sure how to answer the question except to pose my own. What do you mean "seeing the chiropractor for uneven leg lengths.."? Unequal leg lengths have never, in my knowledge, "caused" scoliosis. Perhaps that why we call it idiopathic scoliosis. Do you have an anatomical leg length discrepancy? Is one leg really a different length? If so, how was this documented? Is it producing symptoms? Do you walk with a limp? If your hip was "out" meaning dislocated, you would not be walking! If by being "out" that meant a restriction of motion and the "thunk" you felt gapped or cavitated the joint, did it feel better? Worse? Was it producing symptoms at all?  Frankly non-painful clicking popping or snapping is not necessarily a bad thing. (Unless you are in a movie theatre) SO I have to say Deal or No Deal?
