Question
I was injured and when i went to fall my body twisted to the left and all my weight landed on my left side down on my left foot.I went to a doctor and he said I had back sprain.I had therapy.no results.I was sent to another doctor.which started therapy the therapist held her fingers up and said my s i joint was out of line.I was told to lay on my stomach .She put both hands on my joint and pushed hard as she could. The doctor gave me a shot in the joint and I kept going to therapy.I was given an M. R. I. I was told it showed no injury.I still have lots of pain in my s i joint when I bend over or stand on my left leg.If I bend over and try to work I have lots of pain standing.could I have a nerve damaged that is causing all my pain?I need help Thank You.

Answer
no i am sure you have NOT damaged the nerve and a shot just masks your symptoms. Shame on your therapist for attempting to re align the si joint. physical therapists are not trained to do that. Also, your doctor should have referred you out to a chiropractor after no results from therapy. If your SI joint is out of alignment then a chiropractor or DO are the only ones trained to  fix that. chiropractors training is much more extensive in fixing that problem as compared to a DO. Get your self to a chiropractor as soon as possible. It may take 4-6 weeks to see results. good luck! you will be fine and you will recover from this injury.
