Question
i have a sharp pain in my lower back spreading round into my groin area and my left leg has a numb feeling cause u please advise

Answer
Hi Cate,

I'm sure that you surmise a compromised nerve.  This can be transient or quite severe.  I would advise an examination ASAP.

If there are any bowel or bladder symptoms, go to the ER now.

It could be a disc protrusion, ligament pull or muscle strain.  These cause inflammation and edema that aggravates the nerve.

Otherwise, a chiropractic doctor can diagnose and attend the problem.  The website below can help you find a doc in your area.

Hope this helps.
