Question
My chiro pushed too hard and admitted to damaging cartilage. I am on vicodin and flexiril.  How long do I have to suffer and what else can be done to ease my pain?

Answer
Hi Tracie, Depending on your age, the cartilage in the sternum can be fragile, not to mention the rib articulations adjoining the same. I personally would contact the DC and advise him of your injury and hint of a lawsuit, this should stimulate his utmost attention. He probably won't charge you but I would understand if you sought another physician.

Take Ibuprofen and ice the area down as much as possible, these injuries are quite common and are self-limiting without being life threatening. It make take up to a couple weeks depending how bad it is.

Good Luck!
