Prolapsed disk and Cerebral Palsy.

Question
Hello, I have recently been to see a Chiropractor regards a prolapsed disc, I also suffer with Cerebral Palsy which has caused me to suffer with Anterial Knee pain, after seeing the Chiropractor who did some work on my back and then my hips to start getting me "realligned" my knee pain has nearly disappeared 100% to clarify I didn't ask her to treat my knee! Is this normal for Chiropratic?

Do Chiropractors work on Knees too and is it worth me asking her to look at it individually to my exsisting back problem! I have only had one treatment and my pain killers prescribed to me by the doctor I only need 1 dose a day at the moment down from 8 tablets in 24 hours for over 6 years.

Thank you very much I hope this question is to long winded!

Answer
Liam,

Chiropractors do not treat Cerebral Palsy, nor can they "cure" it, but it is possible that correcting other structural problems may help resolve other symptoms.

Depending on the school of training that chiropractors receive, yes, many chiropractors work on extremities. You can certainly mention your knee symptoms to your chiropractor.
