Question
Dr.Kulla; I developed unilateral tennitus last
Aug. I am convinced it was the result of a neck manipulation.  The chiro. dr. I saw did mani. and every vist. I went home after one visit and several hrs.later, the tennitus started, it is somatic in nature and changes pitch w/ head, neck, jaw body movement.  It is a 'hissing' sound, sometimes high, low.
I am very frightened to go back to him or any other chiro. now as someone I spoke to had a similar event and the chiro attempted, I guess, a 'corrective' mani. and made the problem worse.

Can you give me any input, I understand and agree to the terms of the site. thanks, Jay.

Answer
i have not had too many cases of tinnitus. but you may want to look at seeing an upper cervical Chiropractic specialist, they tend to be very specific in upper cervical (neck ) diagnosing and treatment. there adjustments are often times much more gentle too. look for a doc that does toggle recoil technique or Upper cervical specific, NUCCA. good luck!
