Question
Hi I have had pain in my left arm for about 3 weeks and the pain goes up to the side of my neck sometimes and just recently my pointer and middle finger started to feel numb and tingling. What could be that problem? should I go to a doctor or a chiropractor? Is this something to be concerned about?

Answer
I do not know your age, blood pressure, diabetic? or high cholesterol? Do you ever have chest pain or shortness of breath? Are you overweight or obese? I would first rule out cardiac involvement if you have these risk factors!! How did this pain begin? It's sound like pinched nerve in your neck at C6,C7 region. An xray can help determine this. Plus an examination can help isolate if the neck is causing the problem.  If you don't have any of the cardiac risk factors then go first to a reputable chiropractor. If you are at risk see you family physician or internist first!
