Hip, groin, and calf discomfort

Hi, I'm a 23 year old mother of two. I have a 4 year old, and a 4 month old. I recently began noticing hip and grion pain after exercising, that has now spread to my calf. I am overweight, and on birth control. I've been on birth control in the past, and never had any issues. I did experience a lot of pelvic pain during my most recent pregnancy along with horrible groin pain when I lifted my leg. But that was my right leg, and now I'm having similar pains on my left side. When I've been sitting, then stand up it takes me a minute to start walking comfortably because my hip hurts so badly. I've noticed calf discomfort sometimes but it comes and goes. My calf, and leg sometimes twitches while I'm still. I had a doppler done to rule out DVT about 2 months ago which was negative for any clots. I'm worried there is something wrong with me. But I'm hoping it's just strain do to exercise since it's been a while since I've done any physical activity. I would appreciate your professional opinion.

First of all, I'm a bit confused as to how someone could be on birth control (as you said you were in the past),and have 2 children?? You may want to pick a new form of birth control. I don't mean to be judgmental, but at the age of 19 to have a child is extremely young. This may be part of your problem. When you are pregnant (not once , but twice) your body produces elastin (a hormone that helps to stretch your ligaments and tendons) to make room for your hips to expand.
You probably have loose joints as a result of this. It is very important for you to exercise and take the weight off. by exercising you will tighten those ligament and tendons up and stabilize your joints.
It sounds to me like you may have a pelvic misalignment causing the hip pain. the twitching you have in your calf is most likely from a pinched nerve in your lower back. we all have nerves in the lower back that control our muscles in our legs. the calf muscle is controlled by the very bottom lower back nerve or L5/S1 nerve.
this sounds like a chiropractic case and should be looked at by one as soon as possible. if gone untreated it could get worse and you could cause spinal damage over time. good luck!
