Question
Hello Doctor, i recently began seeing a new chiropractor after moving, this chiropracter used the "Pulstar" machine in addition to his manuel adjustments.  He is one of the few doctors in my area that use this, it actually feels good but i have not been able to find very much as far as reviews of this device from patients.   I am one of those patients that goes to see the doctor, gets adjusted , feel great for about a day after the adjustment and am back to muscles tightness a day later, i have facet joint arthritis and a disc buldge.

Answer
Hello Marc,

I do not use the Pulstar machine so I am unfamiliar with it.  However with my patients I use myofascial release or specific deep tissue muscle work over and around the arthritic joints.  This allows the joint to move better and promote joint fluidity and prolonging the adjustment.  You may want to find doctor who specializes in sports/soft tissue injuries.

Have a great Day,

Dr. Brendon O'Brien D.C.
