Question
I have Bersitus of the hip. My Doctor gave me a Cortisone shot on 9/15/06.  I'm in great pain and was wondering if anything else would help.

Thanks

Answer
You need more than a shot.  Although cortisone has come good anti-inflammatory properties, long term use can cause many problems in the body, such as potential for bone loss.  There are more natural ways to treat bursitis, herbal anti-inflammatories that work more with the body, and chiropractic.  Chiropractors can work with the joint, helping obtain more movement, and, by adjusting the joint, putting less stress on the bursa.  Go to www.sorsi.com to find a chiropractor in your area that can assist with all of these points, not all chiropractors will do this.
