Lower back pain.

Question
Hi, I've had lower back pain for over a year now after injuring myself during an obstacle course. I ended up getting bent over completely backwards. Following the incident movement was nearly impossible. It has been over a year now, and I still have problems with basic things. Walking and sitting for long periods of time kills me. During band practices I can't get to any of our forms properly due to not being able to properly twist around. My family doctor is just saying that it's muscular, but they can't come up with an exact reason of why it has been going on so long.
So I was just wondering if you would have any advice?
Thanks Again,
Courtney

Hi, Courtney,

Two articles I have written address your question:

Completing Recovery from an Injury | http://somatics.com/recovery_from_injury.htm
How You Can End Your Own Back Pain | http://somatics.com/back_pain.htm

They explain why your doctors can't give you an answer (it's outside their scope of practice) and what you can do for self-relief.
