Question
Hi Rusty
My question is I have a herniated discL4-L5 from an auto accident and also have a mix connective tissue disease. Can you get spasms in your back from arthritis or would it be from the herniated disc.Because I have them everyone day and was just curious which one its from.
Hope to hear a reply.
Thanks so much Mary

Answer
Mary,

Actually both can cause spasms. Muscle spasm are usually caused by either a mineral deficiency or tension in the area of the spasm.

Pain from either arthritis in your back or pain from the herniated disk will cause tension and stress to the muscles. This tension can lead to muscle spasms.

With a lot of tension, spasms can happen even if you do not have a mineral deficiency. Many people find by taking a multi-mineral every day they can reduce or eliminate the spasms. The main minerals needed are calcium, magnesium and zinc.

I hope this helps. I wish you good health.

Rusty
