Question
I was just seen by my PCP, he diagnosed me with raynauds, but I have a question. I am reading that most cases come and go with the symptoms of discoloration and pain, well mine do not do this my one thumb has been blue for two weeks and constantly hurting with no coming and going could this still be raynauds?

Answer
The fingers changing colors is Raynaud's but something else may be happening to cause it.  Please call your doctor and let her/him know your thumb is not CHANGING color, it's just blue all the time.  This indicates a lack of oxygen to tissue in the area and it needs to be addressed.
