Question
What is corrosive arthritis.  Is predisone the only drug for this type.  Thank you for your help.

Answer
Barbara,

I am sorry to say but as far as I know there is no such thing as corrosive arthritis.

Prednisone is not the only drug used for any type of arthritis. There are safe non steroidal anti-inflammatories you can take but they are not as effective. Prednisone should be used for short term use to get the inflammation under control or when milder drugs do not have the desired results.
