Swelling of the Hands and Feet

Question
I have had swelling of my hands and feet for over 6 weeks now, I have had complete blood workup and test indicate I have had EBV in the past.  I have a heart murmer /leaky tricuspid valve.  I went to my heart Dr. and he doesnt think it is related to my heart.  Went to Rheumatoligist 2 weeks ago and she thinks it is Osteoarthritis.  I am wating on the results of some more blood work, going to Dr tomorrow.  Along with the swelling I have pain in my joints, fingers, wrists, hips, knees, elbows, ankles (everything hurts) I had back surgery on July 14th, and all of these problems occured after.  I had a allograft(bone material taken from a cadaver) could this have caused all of my problems? I know it is a shot in the dark but I am grasping at straws,  also when I came out of the back surgery I was swollen beond recognition.  please help.

Answer
Lisa,

An infection after a surgery can cause these symptoms but an infection should have shown up on the lab work.

These are not the symptoms of osteoarthritis.

Hopefully the extra blood work will show something. I wish I could be of more help.

Rusty
