Testing Synovial fluid

Question
Can a test be done and how is it drawn if there is no swelling. Is there enough fluid for them to take a sample?

Answer
Synovial fluid is a lubricating liquid found in joints. It is drawn by inserting a needle into the joint and drawing out some of the fluid. Synovial fluid has nothing to do with swelling.
