Question
Sometimes my daughter walks on the top side of her toes, toes curled under, nails against floor. is this dangerous? Will this cause anything wrong when shes older? What is it called?

Answer
I don't know if it is called anything officially...but yes you need to correct it. A pt of ours had a little girl about 3 or 4 I think and she did the opposite walked everywhere on her tippy-toes..at first they thought hey that looks cute...well in about a yr..her calf muscles and tendons etc..were so tight and fixated in that position she couldn't walk regular without a lot of pain..so they now have to do daily stretching of her feet which is very painful and they have to correct her all the time not to walk like that anymore. Luckily her dad is a physical therapist. So I would go ahead and get on it before it turns into a chronic habit.
